The staff were helpful, charming and enthusiastic. The hotel was clean and inviting. Heating could be a bit stronger . The room felt cold.
The hotel is let down by its food. Hire a decent chef and the difference would be amazing.

Good location, staff need to be trained in service delivery.
Restaurant meals expensive and very ordinary

Location: the hotel was right by a restaurant for lunch that was a favourite of the Count and Countess, and the garden.

We got great value for our money at Villa Le Barone. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscapes. The location was peaceful and serene, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff treated us like family, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The breakfast menu could have been more varied.

Simply superb!!! Top 1% of the places that I have ever visited, and the very best we saw while on a long trip though Italy. Spectacular views, attentive, friendly and sincere staff, superb Tuscan breakfast (regrettably we did not have dinner at the Villa as we ventured into the adjacent towns for dinner), unbelievable exercise track through the beautiful gardens and olive groves and vineyards, comfortable swimming pool, easy access and parking, in the heart of Chianti. Unique bar to enjoy a bottle of wine or cognac by a fireplace. Each of the guest rooms is uniquely decorated. The Count and Countess have set an unparalleled high standard, and the guests truly benefit from their close attention to detail.
I wished we would have stayed longer

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming villa just outside the main area, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and several smaller villages. The location was ideal, as it was close to many wineries, allowing me to easily explore the renowned Chianti region. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of adventures. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful, offering guidance on local attractions and dining options. The breakfast served at the villa was delicious and satisfying, fueling me up for the day ahead. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of the surroundings. Additionally, the villa offered a pool and tennis court, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
The villa, unfortunately, overlooked a cemetery, which may be a drawback for some guests looking for a more serene setting.

I had an incredible experience at this luxurious hotel tucked away in the rolling hills of Chianti. The location, perched at the top of a hill, provided breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, making it the most beautiful place in Tuscany. The service was top-notch with room service, car hire, dry cleaning, and housekeeping always available. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The room amenities, including heating, air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a sitting area, provided enhanced comfort. The terrace, complete with garden furniture, was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere. The complimentary toiletries added an extra touch of luxury. The television and am/fm alarm clock in the room kept me entertained and on schedule. The dining experience was exceptional, with delicious meals served in the restaurant. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the bar/lounge area was a great place to relax with a drink. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure all my needs were met. The leisure facilities, including the swimming pool and sun terrace, provided a refreshing and relaxing escape. The seasonal outdoor pool and sun loungers were perfect for soaking up the sun. This place also offered great activities like table tennis, hiking, and cycling, as well as a tennis court for those looking to stay active. The in-room breakfast service was a convenient option, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely morning in the comfort of my room. The hotel's free Wi-Fi, on-site car park, and 24-hour reception added to the convenience and ease of my stay.
I highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

attractive village and setting in general. Good as a base for walking in the countryside, with the hotel helping to arrange and advise on walking routes. tennis, splash pool, table tennis all available.
our room was a converted cellar so dark and miserable. The hotel's restaurant seemed tired, uninspired, with an extremely small choice of dishes and very over-priced dinner. As the hotel is in the middle of the countryside, the guests are somewhat captive diners there.

Well-appointed room and a large bathroom. Lots of facilities like: a safe box, television, and a mini bar fridge.
